The Documentary Channel searches for quality documentary programming in several ways: attending film festivals and markets, via distributors and studios, and through independent submissions.
Due to the overwhelming amount of independent submissions we receive, we are currently requesting that you fill out our submission form and send with your DVD.

Please take into consideration the following:
- All programs must be documentaries. They can be any length, genre, or subject matter. We're interested in everything - and we're not afraid of a little controversy! (Note that DOC reserves the right to edit content to adhere to FCC regulations.)
- All programs submitted for evaluation will become the property of DOC and will not be returned.
- If we do contact you for possible licensing, we will be looking for a broad spectrum of rights which may include standard and non-standard North American television broadcast, VOD, streaming and other digital media rights.
Documentary Channel FAQ's
Q. What deliverables are necessary if Doc Channel acquires my film?
A. If the Doc Channel acquires your film, you should be ready with preferably a clean digibeta master of your film (with certified QC report), music cue sheets, photos and other publicity, and E&O insurance.
Q. What is E&O insurance and why do I need it?
A. Errors and Omissions coverage (E&O) indemnifies the Doc Channel from claims that may result from the content of your production. It covers libel, slander, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement, plagiarism, piracy and misappropriation of ideas, and infringement of title, slogan, or trademark.
