The Documentary Channel® Presents Provocative Evidence of Presidential Election Fraud in The U.S. Television Premiere of “How Ohio Pulled It Off” on Monday, October 6

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (September 11, 2008) — The Documentary Channel® will present a stimulating new documentary that offers sobering evidence of debatable American election fraud in the U.S. television premiere of “How Ohio Pulled It Off” during the network’s “Primetime Premieres” Monday, October 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Featuring interviews with Ohio residents and election and public officials such as U.S. Representative Dennis Kucinich (Ohio, District 10, D), Ohio Governor Ted Strickland, Ohio Secretary of State J. Kenneth Blackwell (R) and Ohio State Senator Ray Miller (D), “How Ohio Pulled It Off” presents overwhelming evidence of election irregularities in the swing-state of Ohio during the 2004 presidential election narrowly won by Republican candidate, President George W. Bush. It also highlights the potential for future challenges, casting a shadow of uncertainty on the 2008 election and beyond.

“With the 2008 presidential election fast approaching, we feel it’s necessary to bring the controversial issue of election irregularities to the forefront,” says Tom Neff, Documentary Channel founder and CEO. “We hope this documentary will provide viewers with a greater awareness and understanding of the much debated election process and the difficulties that the public encounters to get their vote counted.”

DOC is available on DISH Network (Channel 197), and several broadcast stations in major markets including NYC TV (Channel 25) throughout the greater New York metropolitan area.

In “How Ohio Pulled It Off” (www.howohiopulleditoff.com), filmmakers Charla Barker, Matthew Kraus and Mariana Quiroga chronicle the arguable theft of the presidency and the public outcry in Ohio that followed during the 2004 Presidential election.

“We are very excited that ‘How Ohio Pulled It Off’ will soon be presented by The Documentary Channel,” says filmmaker Quiroga. “With the presidential campaign in full-swing, it remains uncertain whether the ballots will be counted as cast on Election Day. Beyond the slogans and rhetoric is the very real possibility that American voters will be disenfranchised on November 4th. We only need look to the 2004 election to discover the myriad ways that votes can be lost, changed, or discarded.”

The documentary takes to the streets and polling places to find out what really happened in the Buckeye state and uncovers an alarming pattern of disenfranchisement among Ohio urban minorities. The film exposes the voting process issues during the 2004 presidential election throughout the state including the lack of an appropriate number of voting machines in many highly populated districts, denial of absentee ballots and faulty computers that could have cost democratic candidate John Kerry the Presidency. It also showcases the multitudes of infuriated citizens protesting in the streets, and their involvement in revitalizing the voting rights movement and forcing the powers-that-be to pay attention.

In the film, Congressman Kucinich summarized the 2004 election situation in his state: “We’ve been doing elections for a long, long time. Ohio became a state in 1803. You’d think that after a couple hundred years of elections, we’d be able to get it right. You’d think.”
